Once fully opera- tional, college officials �ope to �ave 100 stu- dents enrolled at t�e It- aly center eac� year and will offer 10 to 12 courses eac� semester wit� an average class size of 20 students per course. �e Italy Center curriculum is focused on t�e course requirements t�at are common to second-semester sop�o- mores and first-semester juniors, regardless of major. ��e study abroad opportunity is open to all students �owever. Students w�o study at t�e center will �ave a unique opportunity to live and study abroad, according to �odd Waller, director of t�e Italy center. “Florence and Rome are t�e primary study abroad destinations for American students,” says Waller. According to ��eresa Crider, t�e Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs, t�e old Badger- Web �ad a straig�tforward purpose. It was a tool t�at allowed faculty to do ad- visement and grade entry for t�e students t�at t�ey interacted wit�. For students, it was an online environment w�ere t�ey able to look at t�eir grades, review course sc�edules and register for classes. �e old BadgerWeb is being taken down be- cause t�e interface was no longer being supported by t�e company w�o created it and t�e company was coming out wit� a new en�anced version. In order to be named a Daktron-ics-NAIA Scholar Athlete, the athlete must be nominated by their head coach, obtain junior status, and must have at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Ybarra and Hughes become the 100th and 101st Spring Hill College athlete to recieve the honor since it was introduced in 1979.
