Thames DTC – 9th & 10th June 2018

CAMPING Please do NOT arrive before 2pm on Friday, 8TH June. We will not be able to site you before this time, and you will have to WAIT in a holding area until then. If camping has been booked this will clearly be marked on your ring card. If you have any queries regarding camping – please contact us BEFORE Weds, 6TH June. There is to be NO overnight camping except in designated (marked) pitches that have already been pre-arranged/booked.

Judges camping & officials camping spots will be marked out and labelled with a fence post. Anyone else found parking in these areas WILL BE MOVED. Please park where directed and keep roadways clear. Venue MUST be vacated Sunday by 8pm.

Due to very large camping numbers it may not be possible for you to save spaces for all of your friends – please be understanding. Please check where the nearest fire point is located and all caravan and camping units must have means of extinguishing fire. All Rubbish and poo bags MUST be placed in the appropriate waste bins provided. There are separate bins for dog waste and general waste. We order closed top bins so that the crows do not have a party after we have left (and leave us with another large bill) – so PLEASE do not throw rubbish on top of the skips, or leave bags alongside them.

PLEASE NOTE: Gates to the venue will be locked at 9pm & re-opened at 7am

Emergency No. Mobile 07768 424 535 will be available to receive emergency calls only from Friday AM. If you think you are going to arrive after the gates are locked, please phone this number when you are at the gates and want to be let in and we will arrange to open them for you (not after 10.30pm please).

The SPEED LIMIT on the showground is

5 mph

(walking pace, first gear) in ALL AREAS at all times! Security - PLEASE be EXTREMELY careful of your possessions & dogs. The entrance gate will be manned but please be very vigilant and keep your eyes open for ‘unwelcome visitors’ and lock away any valuables. Please adopt a ‘neighbourhood watch’ approach where possible. If you are expecting visitors, you MUST inform Security of their name(s) and Vehicle Reg.

Competition – This year, try your hand at our picture quiz, details are available on arrival. Half of the entry money (£1.00) will be

allocated as prizes and the other half donated to our Charities.

Catering – Smiffys Catering will be providing catering all day Saturday and Sunday. See their blackboard for more information

about evening meals & times.

Measuring - There will be measuring available at the show on Saturday & Sunday lunchtimes for an hour, please book in at the

Secretary’s marquee. They will be some books available for sale at the show.

Grade changes – all grade changes should have been notified to the Show Secretary 14 days before the show (26TH May) – you will not be allowed to run if you have not notified us of the relevant changes by this date. Rosettes – If you are lucky enough to win a rosette on the day, but haven’t got room for it at home, there will be a box at the rosette tent for the recycling of those rosettes awarded during our weekend show
