Look at all the states in

the southwest!

Texas• Texas is the

closest state to Mexico

• In Austin, It has a capitol building bigger than Washington D.C.s capitol!

They call Texas,

“Home of the

Alamo!

Alaska• Alaska is the coldest state in

the United States.

• In this state, the Iditarod race takes place.

This place is sure cold!

Hawaii • Hawaii is in the Pacific

ocean.

• People play all sorts of beach games because it’s so hot!

Even though Hawaii is in the Pacific ocean,

It’s in the southwest!

Oklahoma

• Oklahoma fits into Texas like a puzzle piece.

• It has a lot of toll booths in Oklahoma !

Oklahoma is the tornado

state!

Arizona• Arizona is closer

to the west.• There is all sorts

of nature and attractions!

One of the attractions is the grand canyon!

New Mexico

• New Mexico is a state similar to Mexico.

• New Mexico borders Texas.

Mexico has a lot of

food and spices!
