Beaufort Theatre Ebbw Vale, Blackwood Miners’Institute and the Borough Theatre Abergavennyhave joined forces to bring an exciting theatrecompany to the South East Valleys. ChickenshedTheatre Company will spend a week residentacross the three theatres working with youngpeople not engaged in mainstream education and at risk of offending.
The young people will attend workshops at theBeaufort Theatre exploring the themes of thecompany’s play, Crime of the Century, and developtheir own response to share with an audience offamily, friends and peers as a ‘curtain’ raiserbefore the performance at Blackwood Miners’Institute on Friday 15th October.
Based on true events, Crime of the Centuryportrays a stark yet compelling journey to onefatal moment and its repercussions upon a localcommunity. Performed to a contemporary score ofhip hop and dance music it is a must-seeperformance that is honest and heartfelt, shockingas well as compassionate. There will also be apublic performance of Crime of the Century at theBorough Theatre on Wednesday 13th October.

The dance faktry Winter Festival returns to The Met forthe third year. Dance Company in Residence, FFIN DANCE,runs a highly successful education and outreachdepartment called the dance faktry.
The dance faktry organises dance activity ranging fromcommunity and after school clubs to professional dancedevelopment projects. FFIN DANCE has spent a week withprofessional dancers from all over the UK creating the final dance for this evening’s performance. Once again we are pleased to welcome back Wales’sfavourite family entertainer, STAN STENNETT, foranother family Christmas pantomime.
With more than 60 years in the business, Stan is ashowbuisness legend and will always be rememberedfor his record breaking panto seasons at the NewTheatre in Cardiff and the Grand Pavilion, Porthcawl.His many years on ‘Crossroads’ and ‘CoronationStreet’ have also brought him a legion of fans.
This year, Stan and his gang will be visited by RedRiding Hood. Watch out for the nasty ‘Mangy theWolf’, together with Colin the Woodcutter, Sally,Squire Stoneybroke and of course, Grandma.
The show will be more than two hours of comedy,fun, song and dance. Stan will be joined by leadingman JOHNNY TUDOR, Principal Girl, EMMA LEEWAGNER, plus a full supporting all-Welsh cast.

Ticket CollectionTickets can either be sent to you (postage cost50p) or can be collected in person from theBox Office. Reserved tickets can be held for 7 days. After this time you may be contactedby telephone, kindly requesting that you payfor your tickets or they will be released for re-sale.
All tickets reserved in the week prior to theperformance and held in the Box Office mustbe collected and paid for at least 15 minutesprior to the start of the performance. The Theatre reserves the right to reallocateany uncollected tickets.
Refunds and ExchangesWe regret that tickets cannot be exchanged orrefunded after purchases unless a performanceis cancelled. The Theatre’s own unsold tickets must take priority.
In the event of a sell out, tickets can be accepted for re-sale on the strictunderstanding that re-sale cannot be guaranteed.
