Patriotic Pops Concert Friday, May 24
We have 3 spaces available on the Chartered bus trip to Jacksonville for the Coffee Concert. Bus is leaving Thorpe Building at 8:30am for an 11:00 concert followed by a Dutch treat lunch afterwards. Returning around 3pm. Cost is $55 to church office to confirm your reservation. Please call the church office for more information on this event.
Chair Yoga will NOT meet on Monday, May 20th as the instructor is not available.
The class will resume on Wednesday, May 22 and also Monday, May 27th.

Director of Children and Youth Ministries – St. Simons UMC May 3, 2019
St. Simons United Methodist, located on St. Simons Island in Georgia, is an 1100-member church with an average worship attendance of 435. Its mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transfor-mation of St. Simons Island and the world. We are seeking a full-time Director of Children and Youth Ministries to become a part of our in-credible ministry team.
Requirements: Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. To provide vision, leadership, and coordination of our youth and children’s ministries. To present the Gospel of Christ in relevant and meaningful ways to our youth, children and congregation. To build relationships with the parents of youth, children, and congregation. To initiate and delegate the work necessary to achieve goals. To recruit and help volunteers identify and use their gifts. To be a team player who is comfortable in a staff setting where responsibilities are delegated and shared to carry out the mission of the church.
This is a salaried position with benefits. A college degree from a four-year school is required. A degree in Education or Christian Education is preferred but not required. Previous experience in working with children and youth is required.
