Hazardous distance

“The Software”The software Atmosphere RiskAnalysis Gas Plus (AraGasPlus)is a support tool to carry out allthe necessary actions that anemployer must comply with theDirective 99/92/EC concerningminimum requirements forimproving work health and safetyof employees at risk fromexplosive atmospheres

AraGasPlus is one of the information toolsthat helps the technicians in charge of theHazardous Location and risk analysis ofthe areas at risk of explosion due to thepresence of gases, vapors or inflammablemists as well as the manufacturers ofproducts, the employers, the designers ofelectrical and non-electrical systems, thesecurity officers and auditors.

AraGasPlus is the only software that has fullyimplemented the Standard IEC 60079-10-1(2015-09 Edition 2.0): Explosive atmospheres- Part 10-1: Classification of areas - Explosivegas atmospheres, TNO Yellow Book and theIndustrial Ventilation manual: a manual ofRecommended Practice for Design, 29 thEdition ACGIH®, CEI 31-35 Guide,Standard EN 1127-1, Standard NFPA 78/79,Directive 99/92/EC (Directive Atex),

“Complete”

AraGasPlus calculates air changes in theenvironment due to infiltration: depending onthe construction characteristics of the buildingof which the area belongs to (without specificfixed ventilation openings or extractionsystems, or large heat emission).

AraGasPlus allows you to define the typeof environment shielding (shieldedenvironment, partially shielded orunshielded) which affects the calculation ofnatural air flow.

AraGasPlus The technician is guided withthe compilation of data using valuessuggested through a simple graphicalinterface, immediate and intuitive; offeringalternatives internationally claimed byexperts in the field (eg. two openings onadjacent sides not provided for by guide CEI31-35; see illustration below).

Flexible

OttimizationAraGasPlus in addition toconsidering as local exhaustventilation, that required byGuide CEI 31, 35, also considersother different types of localexhaust ventilation systems (eg.See illustration) thus havinggreater flexibility both in thedeclassification of the Zone andin the reduction of dangerousdistance " dz".

AraGasPlus, displays graphically, theaverage concentration of the inflammablesubstance Xb (t) %. The optimization ofthe calibration of the detectors devices offlammable substances can also beperformed graphically interacting withthe Xb (t) curve %.

AraGasPlus allows to interact with the emissiontime t (s) in order to optimize the setting of theflammable gas detectors.

“The mixtures”

The definition of a Mixture greatly simplifiesthe technician’s work responsible for theZone Hazardous Location and analysis ofexplosion risk in the workplace.

It has been studied and included aspecial section for mixtures offlammable substances. The usermay enter more flammablesubstances and form one mixturewhose chemical - physicalcharacteristic, for the purposes ofZone Hazardous Location ofexplosion risk, is calculated fromAraGasPlus; the mixture isconsidered as a single substance.

AraGasPlus enables to estimate thelikely effects of explosions through theTNTeq method (trinitrotolueneequivalent method)

In AraGasPlus the analysis of explosionrisk has been revised and updated takinginto account the scale of the anticipatedeffects (potential damage).

AraGasPlus allows to enter all of theequipment (with its power sources indicated inthe EN 1127-1) inside the classified area
