Acknowledgements

Firstly, I must begin by thanking to the God who has given health and welfare in

my live. My beloved parents who always motivate and encourage me to do all my

activities everyday. My lecturer who always teach me with full of the patience and my

all friends who always make me laugh and happy.

Secondly, I would like to say thank to the readers of this book. Your receptiveness

has enabled me to publish this book. Without you this book would be nothing.

Thirdly, I wish this book would be beneficial for all the students and teachers who

study about English literature. This title taken from the subject History of English. There

are three parts in the History of English, Old English, Middle English, and modern

English.

So I decided to choose the Modern English and I put “The Slang in Modern

English “ as the title.

I know this book is not perfect, that’s why I need some correction and suggestion

in order to make this book better.
