No New Trade This Week

It does not happen often, but on occasions, we do not see a trade that we truly love, and therefore we do not force something that is simply not there. Somewhere down the road, as we always do, we will have we week where to offer two or more new trades to make up for it.

Trade Updates

DIS ITM Bull Call (11/14) – Our trade opened where we expected, and so far the stock price is staying above our short call strike (barely). No changes today. QQQ Strangle (11/07) – Since last week, the NASDAQ has had a reversal. At the open tomorrow, we are going to add short options to the PUT side of this trade. In equal contracts to our long puts, we are going to sell to pen the DecWk1 $117 strike puts for a credit of about $0.41 per share. The CALL side of the trade is profitable, so we will allow it to keep moving.

XOM ITM Bear Put (10/31) – Early in the day we thought the stock might finish near the $86 per share mark. Anything there or below, and we could get out of this trade with only our loss of $0.35 per share (approx.). Because the stock moved up as it did today, we are stuck between closing at a larger loss (about $0.93 per share), or seeing if the see-saw back and forth movement continues for another day. I think we have to give it one more day. No change today, but hope for a sell off tomorrow.
