Professional Ethics 5 CASES: The assassination of Benazir Bhutto occurred on 27 December 2007 in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Bhutto, twice Prime Minister of Pakistan (1988–1990; 1993–1996) and then-leader of the opposition Pakistan Peoples Party, had been campaigning ahead of elections due in January 2008. She was declared dead at 18:16 local time at Rawalpindi General Hospital. According to state television, Musharraf held an emergency cabinet meeting after he received word of the blast. He then addressed the nation, saying that "We shall not rest till we tackle this problem and eliminate all the terrorists. The attack has been condemned by the Pakistani president, Asif Ali Zardari, and prime minister, Yousaf Raza Gillani. Chidambaram" P. Chidambaram expressed shock over the attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Pakistan: "We condemn the incident. We are sorry for the Sri Lankan team.The siege of Lal Masjid (code-named Operation Sunrise) was a confrontation in July 2007 centered on the Lal Masjid ("Red Mosque") and Jamia Hafsa madrasah complex in Islamabad, Pakistan between Islamic militants and the government of Pakistan. In reaction Although many Pakistanis were silent about the operation against Lal Masjid, most of them disagreed that the government was right to take action, because it seemed to be a terrorist act by the Pakistan Army on its own people. While hardliners have been able to stir up anger each time President Pervez Musharraf moves against them, most people have been tolerant Muslims and opposed the militant drive to impose Islamic law.

The Pakistani government announced on February 16, 2009 that it would allow Sharia law in the Malakand region. In return, Fazlullah's followers agreed to observe a ceasefire negotiated by Sufi Muhammad. Through a media broadcast, the Pakistani government announced in late April that it would fight the Taliban in the Swat Valley; this war is called swat operation. This led to a humanitarian crisis. The United Nations Commissioner for Refugees announced that between 150,000 to 200,000 civilians had fled the war zone.

PESHAWAR UNIVERSITY INCIDENT :On Saturday (13th march, 2010) evening a guy named ADNAN of civil department was listening songs in his room, students of jamiat e taliba came and forbade him from listening songs. A fight started between them. Next day 70 students of jamiat along with weapon and sticks came and beat 4 students present at that guy's room along with him. They struck in his head several times and a nail burst his head open and we got unconscious. He has admitted in hospital and today after juma prayer he died. Meanwhile there were strikes in university against jamiat and they announced that if anything happens to Adnan then we will put this university on fire. After his death the students of Peshawar University blocked the road and they entered hostels and showed aggression against jamiat by putting their rooms on fire.Assignment no 1Page 1
