The Seller’s Story “Phil and Cathy met in San Francisco while attending college. After a short stint of Phil teaching dance at Chico State University, they married. They honeymooned in Japan for one and a half years and then traveled for another six months in Nepal, Thailand, and Indonesia. When they returned stateside, their beloved San Francisco had become unaffordable for a two teacher family. After many road trips and recon missions, they decided to settle in St. Augustine, site of Cathy's parents' honeymoon, childhood holidays, and fantastic, world-class beaches. They began selling some art, jewelry, fabrics, and musical instruments from their travel adventures and everyone wanted more, more, more, so they decided to open a gallery and continue traveling. When 32 Charlotte came on the market, it was the perfect location, a real Victorian with bull’s eye trim and wavy glass windows – it also had a dance studio for Phil! Looking at the boats in the inlet while brushing their teeth (maybe a dolphin sighting) and laughing on the balcony over morning coffee, they kept dreaming of maybe having a cafe or bookstore attached to the gallery or maybe reusing that beautiful, private backyard for lunches or bands? Instead-baby magic entered their lives and the dance studio filled with beds and stuffed animals- no choreography, but lots of dancing! It was the perfect live upstairs work downstairs set up in the heart of town. Now, all fixed up, grown up, twenty four years later, 32 Charlotte is ready for the next adventure and the new dream.”
