    Which things were used in the commission of and/or may constitute evidence of a crime, to wit: theft andmisconduct in public office, committed in violation of Chapter 943.20 (1) (b) & 946.12 (2) of the Wisconsin Statutes.

    The facts tending to establish the grounds for issuing the search warrant as follows:

    1. Your Affiant, Chief Joseph A. Balog, has nineteen (19) years of service as a Law Enforcement Officer.Affiant has conducted numerous criminal investigations.

    2. This affidavit for Search Warrant is based upon information affiant received from Village of Genoa CityAdministrative Assistant to the Cirief Maria Mayer. Mayer reported to affiant that on Aprii 07, 2014 atapproximately 6:19PM affiant spoke with Mayer over the telephone. Mayer reported to affrant that therewas missing bond money from the locked bond box located in the Village of Genoa City Police Departrnent,Village of Genoa City, Walworth County, Wisconsin.

    COU{TY OF WALWORTH3. Affiant initiated an investigation into the missing money. On April 11,2014 Administrative Assistant Mayer

    photographed $230 in prerecorded United States curency and that money was placed into the locked bondbox and said currency listed serial numbers as follows:o F36228019A United States $100 biilo JF24299251A United States $50 billo IF070778064 United States $50 billo IG93087158C United States $20 bill. JC87931901A United States $10 bill.

    4. At approximately 7:00AM on April 14,2014 affiant and Administrative Assistant Mayer inspected thecontents of the bond box and observed that multiple bond palrnents were missing, including the $230money that Administrative Assistant Mayer had photographed on April 11,2014. Also missing weremultiple other bond enveiopes totaling $1728.30 which includes the $230 mentioned above.

    o 5. After verifying that the money was missing on April 14,2014 at approximately 3:00PM , affiantplaced $400 in prerecorded United States Cun'ency into the bond box which cuffency iisted serialnumbers as follows:

    .The currency was photocopied by affiant prior to placing in the bond box. Affrant also installed a video camerato record video images in the area of the bond box.

    5. On April 15, 2014 affiant checked the locked bond box at approximately 7:00AM. At that time the $400 ofphotocopied money was stiil in the bond box.
