FROM THE MANAGER’S DESK

"May your neighbors respect you, Troubles neglect you, The angels protect you, And Heaven accept you." Author unknown. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!

Flags: The American Flag is a reminder of who we are. A proud and great Country! With that said, I have noticed several American flags in the Community that need to be replaced. Please keep us flying beautiful and proud. Thank you.

Movie night: Saturday, March 16th at 6:00 PM. Alice and I are going to host a movie night for you! Please come and enjoy the evening with us. See the flyer at the Bulletin Board mailbox for details.

Wifi in the Community Center: Between the Co-op Board and Gypsum Mills Estates, we now have a wifi connection in the Community Center for your use. Domain name (Community Center) Password pro-tected, password: resident44 (lower case).

Hugh Crowley: As many of you know, our beloved President of the Co-op Board was recently n a car accident. His car was totaled and he was injured. Thankfully, he has found out he will not need surgery for a neck injury. We were very grateful to hear this news and so was Hugh. He will have a slow recov-ery but he thanks god to be here with us. Please keep your prayers coming for him.

Morgan Services’ new building in Farmington is coming along quite nicely. Once they are done with their new facility, we will begin to remodel our Sales Office. This may cause a lapse in the Office being open for business. Please leave a message as we will be monitoring phone calls or call the emergency line at 585.202.9708.

New gas line from RG&E: I recently noticed a RG&E truck on Roberts Dr. I think they may be getting ready to start their work installing a gas line to the pump station by the pond.

Updating your information: When you have new information that may be helpful to us we will be happy to add it to your records. Keeping updated records helps us in case of an emergency for you. Don't forget about your new roommates, pets and/or new vehicle. All important information!

Complaints:

Cats: Stray cats running around. These are different ones from before. One gray and another one that is black with a white chest. If you know who's cats these are please ask the owners to keep them inside. Again, you should not be feeding these cats. Thank you. Susan Morsch of Lambert St.

Damaged yards: Residents across from me think they are backing their vehicles into my drive way, but they are missing it and causing deep pockets in the lawn area. I would like to ask them to pay attention when reversing not to go too far over. I do not mind you backing up into my driveway. This may be happening in other areas as well. I know I would appreciate it very much. Thank you. Gina Cicotte of Murphy Dr.

Don't forget ~ Spring is just around the corner! We can look forward to EASTER Sunday on March 31, 2013. Happy Easter, hopping down the bunny trail with colored Easter eggs in our new Easter outfits. Please note that refuse pickup will not be effected by the Easter holiday.

Reminder: In April/May, we will once again gather to celebrate and welcome our new residents at our Annual Meet & Greet Gathering! All the Committee Members will be attending, and this event is open to all Gypsum Mills residents. New residents can pick up their pool passes at the event. Be on the lookout for more information!

Very Truly Yours, Debra DeMars Community Manager

FROM THE PRESIDENT’S DESK

A Special Thank-You

It is with a grateful heart that I extend sincere thanks to all of those members of our community who reached out and offered some token of thoughtful kindness during my recovery from my car accident. I am so fortunate in so many ways; one of the most sig-nificant ways is to be blessed to live within a community that knows no limit to the kind-ness it will extend when there is one of us in need. I have been truly touched by the thoughtfulness and generosity heaped upon me following my car accident on February 8

th. So, to those of you who have given of yourselves through food, cards wishing me a

speedy recovery, or through simple prayers I can only humbly say; thank-you. I am so grateful for your thoughtfulness during this frightening experience. I am on the mend! Of course it seems that time grinds to a staggering snail’s pace while I’m wearing this neck brace, but I am confident that I’m getting better with each passing day and that events are unfolding in the manner with which they are supposed to. I am blessed to be here to share another St. Patrick’s Day with you all! Those of you who know me know that I am not shy in celebrating my pride in my Irish heritage, so I look forward to celebrating with all of you at our Annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration on March 16

th at

6:00 PM at the Community Center. Please see Bob or Linda Tuttle to purchase your tickets.

Until then, Hugh N. Crowley, President Gypsum Mills Board of Directors

UPDATE ON TOWN OF VICTOR ASSESSMENT

OF GYPSUM MILLS RESIDENCIES:

In an effort to keep all residents (with & without internet access) informed as to the status on the legal action being taken against the increases in our assessment taxes, we are reiterating the information exchanged at this month’s Board meeting.

At the meeting Debra DeMars’ monthly report was submitted to our Cooperative Board of Directors. The total subject matter of this report is included within the minutes of the meeting posted on the Gypsum Mills website.

Bob Morgan’s attorney informed Debra that our suit has been filed in the NYS Supreme Court. A hearing has yet to be scheduled, as well as a pre-trial. He also informed Debra that this action may take till the end of the year (2013).

Although this is not earth shattering news, it is saying that the judicial action is in process and supported by our Gypsum Mills Management.

Whatever the outcome and its impact, we are all looking forward to positive results for all of our residents.

Thanks again, Annette (Klutzy) Massey

To all our wonderful friends here in Gypsum Mills;

We don’t even know how to begin to say an appropriate “Thank-you” for all the cards and meals and the comforting words. Lou and I are still walking around in disbelief, trying to get on with our lives, but it’s not easy. Your compassion and encouragement has helped so much. Please bear with us as we try to stumble through this and please keep those prayers coming.
