Dear Parent, The wearing of school uniform at all mes is a key part of our drive to develop student s awareness and discipline. It is an essenal part of the school rules which is clearly discussed with you and your child when we opened second term. As such we require you to ensure that your child wears the correct, complete school uniform at all mes when aending school. Just to clarify the Lilongwe Private School Primary department for standard 1 to standard 5 students consists of: School shoes: Plain black sensible leather shoes, no canvas shoes, no boots, no trainer style shoes. School shoes are parcularly expensive, but we have had huge issues this year with parents spending a lot of money on footwear which clearly does not take note of the above informaon. We would very much like to avoid this as it puts the school at odds with students which is not any of us would wish for and is a negave start to the term for all concerned. Despite this very clear set of criteria, some of our students regularly come into school without wearing the proper uniform. As a result the Schools Board of Directors with the management plan to introduce a warning system. Within each school term any student entering school without correct uniform will be issued with a warning leer. If they receive a second warning within that term they will be sent home. If we are unable to contact you we will require a meeng with you the next school day. We are very proud of our school and of our students and believe that high standards of uniform, behaviour, being properly equipped and aending regularly give each and every one of our students the very best chance of learning well and achieving their very best. Thank you all very much in advance of your ancipated support and understanding. The School Scoop

From the Head of Primary... Dear Parent,

The wearing of school uniform at all times is a key part of our drive to develop student’s awareness and discipline. It is an essential part of the school rules which is clearly discussed with you and your child when we opened second term. As such we require you to ensure that your child wears the correct, complete school uniform at all times when attending school. Just to clarify the Lilongwe Private School Primary department for standard 1 to standard 5 students consists of:

School shoes: Plain black sensible leather shoes, no canvas shoes, no boots, no trainer style shoes.

School shoes are particularly expensive, but we have had huge issues this year with parents spending a lot of money on footwear which clearly does not take note of the above information. We would very much like to avoid this as it puts the school at odds with students which is not any of us would wish for and is a negative start to the term for all concerned.

Despite this very clear set of criteria, some of our students regularly come into school without wearing the proper uniform. As a result the School’s Board of Directors with the management plan to introduce a warning system. Within each school term any student entering school without correct uniform will be issued with a warning letter.

If they receive a second warning within that term they will be sent home. If we are unable to contact you we will require a meeting with you the next school day. We are very proud of our school and of our students and believe that high standards of uniform, behaviour, being properly equipped and attending regularly give each and every one of our students the very best chance of learning well and achieving their very best.

Thank you all very much in advance of your anticipated support and understanding.

Charity Donation

Helping the Poor people equals serving God. Every year our students, parents and

staff of LPS donate the various food items, clothes and money to Missionaries of

Charity (Mother Teresa) arranged and organised under the supervision of

Vice Principal. This process has been going on over the past 18 years. During the

month of December, two sisters and around 10 children ranging from Age 5—10,

visited our school. Our students and staff welcomed them and took them around to

both primary and secondary sections. On behalf of students and staff, our Principal

donated all the items and money that was contributed to the charity.

Term End Assembly Students successfully completed their Term I Examinations during the first week of
