the Boothbay April 6dear friend I take my pen in hand to let you know that I am well and hope you are enjoying the same blessing I received your papers and sent youone but dont know wether you got them or not sarah I am right side up with care as the othergirl was I understand that Lucy has lotes of boes down your way and I guess I will come down and try it. I am as bad as ever I should ben worse if I hadntgot my pay tell the old Lady she must come up and see me you must excuse me ignorence is to be over looked some times my fortune has come out treue tell Frank he must play with the girls easygive my love to uncle Wilmot tell stephen I have some dishwater on hand now Mother sends her love to you and all inquireing friends you must write and let me no how you get along down there friday is my birth day Abby is gon and I feel quitelonesome I have ben lame but have got better nownow mother isnt very well now I have not seen John yet but I have seen one will do as well you must (blackened out) Answer this as soon as you get it your friend Elisa Z Hutchins
