This week’s second collection supports Catholic Wor ld Missions. By Baptism, all Catholics are called to participate in the miss ion of the Church and share their faith as missionaries. World Mission Sunday gathers support for the pastoral and evangelization programs and needs of m ore than 1,150 mission dioceses in Africa, Asia, the Pacific Islands, and remote regions of Latin America. Saint Vincent de Paul Society Fall Clothing Drive Nest Saturday, October 29, 3:30-6:00 PM and Sunday, October 30, 7:00 AM-1:00 PM. Representatives will be in the front of the Church to receive donations. The Boston Sock Exchange Ministry serves our homeless brothers and sisters on Boston Common

on the second Saturday of each month. Please remember the homeless by bringing seasonally-appropriate men’s and women’s clothing you no longer require to the bin at the back of the Church or to

the Parish Center. We need men’s new socks, rain ponchos, winter outerwear, umbrellas, juice boxes, Gatorade, or any other individual-sized non-carbonated drinks. We have enough water. Join us in the Parish Center on Friday, November 11 at 7:00 PM to prepare sandwiches and help organize donations. Please volunteer to help with distribution on Saturday, November 12, at 11:00 AM on Boston Common. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Thank you to everyone who donated care packages in the past. We hope it is a blessing to you, as it is to the recipient. Care packages for the month of November will be collected the weekend of November 5th and 6th. You may place your care packages in the bins located in the rear of both upper and lower Churches. Please bring the following trial size items in a gallon ziploc bag: toothbrush, toothpaste, baby powder, pocket tissues, shampoo, soap, disposable razor, pocket hairbrush, lotion, chapstick and a note of caring. Parishioners with last names A-L are asked to bring men’s products; those with last names M-Z are asked to bring women’s products.

Saint Agnes School was honored at the Arlington Chamber of Commerce 100th Anniversary Gala. The Chamber recognized Saint Agnes School as the third oldest

continuously operating business in Arlington. Saint Agnes School was started in 1888 and opened for the 128th time this past September. The Chamber presented, our Principal, Mr. Penta, with a recognition plaque that will be hung on the first floor. Saint Agnes School congratulates the Arlington Chamber of Commerce on their 100th anniversary and thanks the Chamber Director, Elizabeth Locke, and the Gala committee for this honor.

Parent teacher conferences will be held on Wednesday October 26, and Thursday October 27. Please note that both days are early dismissal days with school ending at 11:30 AM.

Science Night is scheduled for the evening of Friday November 18, 2016 in Saint Agnes School Hall. We are still looking for parents to help with the event. This is a great way to get involved in our School, meet other parents and get to know your child's classmates. Early Release and Full Day Program – Upcoming early release days in Fidelity House's School Age Program include Wednesday, October 26, Thursday, October 27 (Saint Agnes School). Upcoming Full Day Programs include Tuesday, November 8 (Public schools), Thursday, November 10 and Friday, November 11 (Veteran’s Day). Program is open to children in Kindergarten and up. Grief Workshop - DeVito Funeral Homes and All Care Hospice invite you to "Coping Through The Holiday Season". This free one time workshop is for any adult looking for support this holiday season.
