The Evian Resort welcomes every year two
major events : the Evian Championship,
amongst the 5 Professional Major Women’s
Championships, and «Les Rencontres
Musicales d’Evian», the internationally
reputed classical music festival. The Royal
Palace Hotel now offers to its guests, the
chance to experience their passion for
music, as well as golf, in their new suites
through a range of exceptional services,

two renowned personnalities.
That being said, last july, David Leadbetter,
a figure of the world’s best golf coaches,
and the illustruous orchestra conductor
and composer Esa-Pekka Salonen
adulated by the classical music exegetes,
both launched their eponymous suites.

And what a thrill to discover,
each morning, a cartel upon
which David Leadbetter shares
a little advice before going to
try the 18-holes of Evian Resort’s
Golf Club.
As for the IPad made available
in the Suite, you can discover
an exclusive video in which
David Leadbetter gives his best
advice in order to grasp, in the
best conditions, the 4-holes of
the Academy. Nowadays this
Academy bears his name, proof
of his devotion to the Evian
Resort, the Evian Championship
and the Royal Evian Hotel.
The weather is not an issue for
the guests of the Leadbetter
suite, as they will also be able to
have a lesson with a pro, either at
the David Leadbetter Academy,
or on the golf simulator that
Royal Evian is launching at
the same time as part of the
marvelous golfing experience
offered at the Royal Evian Hotel.
For fans, it is easy to recognize him
on a green with his straw hat, and
always by the side of renowned
female champions. For the
average person, taking advantage
of David Leadbetter’s advice is an
assurance of becoming “a little bit
better” at golf!
Extremely pedagogical and
enthusiastic, David Leadbetter
was full of praise regarding his
Suite that he launched himself. In
order to personalize it even more,
he left a few personal objects that
really matter to him: his hat, his
golf bag, his miniature putting-
green, and the perfect library
for all Birdy, Eagle and even
Albatros amateurs! What’s more
sentimental, a glove signed by
Michelle Wie, the World Champion
that he trained, and who won the
2014 US Open.
