CRAFTED BY SOUTHERN HANDS

Crafted By Southern Hands, a sweet summer celebration for all ages, returns to Warehouse Row this June 28th, with fresh, handpicked

Georgia peaches from The Peach Truck (in Chattanooga for one day only!), complimentary refreshments from Jeni’s Splendid Ice

Creams, local food and drink, live music by Ten Bartram, and pony rides by Noah’s Little Ark. Learn more at craftedbysouthernhands.com.

JENI’S SPLENDID ICE CREAM

Jeni Britton Bauer founded Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams in 2002 and has since gone on to

author two cookbooks, create a national wholesale market and extensive direct-to-customer

online hub for her ice creams, and has opened sixteen (and counting) scoop shops. Every

product is made from the ground up with grass-grazed milk, local produce, American bean-

to-bar chocolate, and select ingredients from around the world. Learn more at jenis.com.

NOAH’S LITTLE ARK

Rich and Cindy, founders of Noah’s Little Ark share a lifelong love of animals. They moved

to Chattanooga in 2003, started a farm, and began rescuing llamas, alpacas, goats, sheep,

ducks, horses, ponies, chickens and more. A friend asked them to bring their critters to a

birthday party, which sparked the idea to spread the Noah’s Little Ark love to other events.

Drop by Crafted by Southern Hands for a pony ride or visit noahslittleark.net to learn more.

THE PEACH TRUCK

It’s a tale of two peaches: a Georgia boy fell in love with a girl

from way up north. He took her to Nashville and taught her to

love everything he cherished about the south: hot summers,

front porches, and—best of all—fresh peaches. Alas, the boy

made a terrible discovery: Nashville didn’t have peaches, at

least, not the big, juicy peaches he grew up eating in Georgia.

So the boy and the girl, otherwise known as Stephen and

Jessica Rose, did the next logical thing for a couple crazy in

love with each other—and peaches. They traded in their car

for a 1964 Gladiator Jeep truck and began selling fresh fruit

by the bagful. The Roses’ truck is so much a part of their love

story that they even included it in their wedding party, taking

communion right off its perky-nosed, forest-green hood.

The Roses say, without irony, that their peaches are THE

BEST (Italics! All caps!) peaches you’ll ever have: rich and

fragrant, with an intoxicating sweetness that dances across

your taste buds. They come from Pearson Farm in—we kid you

not—Peach County, Georgia. Pearson Farm is a 130 year-old

peach and pecan estate that has been family farmed for five

generations. It is notable as it was the first farm in Georgia to

receive the GAP (good agricultural practices) certification, and

the peaches are grown with water-saving drip irrigation and

minimal pesticides.

The Roses and their Peach Truck peaches have been featured

in Southern Living, The Huffington Post, and The Tennessean.

Their website, thepeachtruck.com, features online ordering,

a wealth of information on the proper care and preservation

of peaches, recipes, and Stephen’s blog, which documents the

development of each year’s harvest and offers recipes and news

of The Peach Truck’s travels. Find the The Peach Truck blog at

thepeachtruck.com/blogs, like The Peach Truck on Facebook at

facebook.com/thepeachtruck, and follow the Roses on Twitter

at @ThePeachTruck.

Hailing from Nashville, red-hot izakaya and ramen restaurant,

Two Ten Jack will open a 4,800 square-foot Chattanooga location

in Warehouse Row’s mercantile late this fall. Expanding upon

the culinary world’s recent fascination with upscale brewhouses,

an izakaya is a type of pubhouse—a Japanese version of your

local neighborhood pub, offering tasty food and great service

in a friendly environment. Two Ten Jack’s menu will feature

kodawari, ramen, yakitori, sushi and other Japanese-inspired

comfort food, as well as a curated list of beverages on tap, reserve

cocktails, single malt whiskies, sake, shochu, and more. Find Two

Ten Jack on Facebook at facebook.com/twotenjack and follow

them on Twitter at @TwoTenJack.

WELCOME BRASH COFFEE

There is no time like the present to drop by Warehouse

Row for a cuppa of Matthew Ludwikowski’s remarkable

Brash Coffee, winner of the Southeast Regional Brewers

Cup 2012 and top-six finalist in the 2012 National

Brewers Cup competition. Inspired by a trip to Laguenta

El Salvador, Ludwikowski’s commitment to coffee

reaches beyond flavor to fair wages for farmers and an

honest, relationship-driven business with coffee growers

in El Salvador, Central America, and South America.

Ludwikowski believes that coffee creates community,

bringing together people from all walks of life who share

a common passion for great coffee.

Ludwikowski has been sourcing and roasting his own

coffee since 2012, selling it through select restaurants,

boutique retailers, and informally out of his Atlanta

office on Peachtree Street. He’s excited to be taking

the Brash Coffee concept to the next level with a 1,089

square-foot brick-and-mortar location off Market Street

at Warehouse Row.

Brash Coffee opened a pop-up coffee kiosk at Warehouse Row, just

before Christmas. Their permanant location in Building North opened

this past May. Visit Brash Coffee at Facebook.com/BrashCoffee to

learn more.

WAREHOUSE PICNICS & POPS IN THE PARK

Each July 3rd, the Chattanooga Symphony & Opera

tunes up its tubas, trumpets and timpanis to accompany

Chattanooga’s iconic Independence Day fireworks event:

Pops on the River. Located in Coolidge Park, the event

is free and open to all. The concert begins at 8pm with

fireworks following at 9:45pm.

Pops on the River is best enjoyed with a take-away picnic

dinner from any of Warehouse Row’s fine eateries. Try

the fried chicken from Public House (made the way

your Grandma made it!), the fried green tomatoes and

the “de stupendous” Sheer Bliss Tupelo Burger from

Tupelo Honey Cafe, or the melt-in-your-mouth barbecue

sandwich from Petunia’s Silver Jalapeño. With food this

good, the fireworks in your mouth may rival the spectacle

in the sky. Visit chattanoogapops.com to learn more about

2014’s Pops in the Park event.

TEN BARTRAMFan favorite Ten Bartram will return to Warehouse Row on June 28th, appearing at our Crafted by Southern Hands celebration.

186 enthusiastic Ten Bartram fans recently ponied up more than

$15,000 to help the group fund the recording of its next release,

Some Hootenannies. Taking the name from their grandmother’s one-

time address, Ten Bartram Road, sister team Eleanor and Rebekah

Angel describes their creative process as thoughtful, imaginative,

and practical. After recording Some Hootenannies, they plan to

immediately hit the road for a Southeastern Tour.

Before they embark on tour, however, the trio—Eleanor (vocals,

guitar), Rebekah (vocals, mandolin, ukelele), and Peter (all other

instruments)—will play a sure-to-be-amazing set at Warehouse

Row’s June 28th Crafted by Southern Hands event. Ten Bartram

can be found on virtually every social media and music-related site.

To learn more, like them on Facebook at facebook.com/tenbartram,

follow them on Twitter @tenbartram, check out their photos on

Instagram at instagram.com/tenbartram and visit tenbartram.com

for a comprehensive list of Ten Bartram links.
