THE RESONATOR / Page 1 JUNE 2013 "Prez Sez" WILL IT EVER ST OP RAINING? Over the last few weeks we have had more than our fair share of rain, with frequent heavy downpours, thunder & lightening, occasional hail and wildly fluctuating temperatures. However, since we all drive Healey's and they have wonderful watertight tops and really active heaters, it is no problem! Soon, of course, we will all be hoping for rain and some temperature moderation. After a very successful Ancaster Flea Market, for which we can thank Ed Kesik and his committee and all the volunteers who worked to make this event our key fundraiser of the year, we can now look forward to some fun. It started a couple of weekends ago with the first of the Crazy Cow events. A good selection of LBC's met at the DQ in Waterdown for some refreshment and then proceeded to check out Phil Jarrett's project, before heading to Eden Mills art show. A great day if you missed it and no rain. Hopefully all the parts that you managed to find in Ancaster are now bolted onto the car and it is ready to take you to Quebec, for Conclave Charlevoix. Quite a large number from our Club are registered for this event, and I look forward to seeing you all there. All in all it looks like being a good summer full of a variety of events, so pick the ones you like and come have a good time. Look for me in an MGB. Drive your Healey . It lik es it and you will too!! Bob Yule Official Newsletter of the Austin-Healey Club of Southern Ontario View From the Navigator's Seat As Conclave Quebec is coming up fast, the contingent from our club are busy getting their cars ready for what I am sure will be a most enjoyable drive, followed by a fun week in Charlevoix region of Quebec. Paul Hetu from AHC Quebec has been very diligent in sending us all kinds of information on what to expect and see on our drive there and also Conclave activities for the week. Some of our group will also be doing a Post Conclave tour of the Gaspe while others will be touring the Eastern Provinces. ICE CREAM SOCIAL: QUEER COW TOUR Our first DQ stop of the year had 10 Healeys. It was a sunny day, DQ ice creamwas worth the drive. We departed DQ on our first leg to yours truly's garage fora quick update on my BJ 7 Sebring tribute car. I started the car for the curious andinstantly forgot about the restoration bills piling up in the tool box. After our 25minute visit we started our second leg to the art show in Eden Mills. Just as wewere ending our visit a green MGB showed up and we accepted it as a wanna beHealey. Bob and Levina are enjoying there MGB new/old wheels. It was a 30minute drive on country roads, lots to look at. We managed to find parkingtogether and from here enjoyed the art festival. It was an enjoyable afternoon whichI hope to repeat next year.10 cars this year maybe we can double it for next year.

Cheers Phil

HEALEYSMILE

On Wednesdays We Play Golf

After 35 years of marriage, a husbandand wife came for counseling. Whenasked what the problem was, the wifewent into a tirade listing every problemthey had ever had in the years they hadbeen married. On and on and on: neglect, lack of intimacy, emptiness, loneliness, feeling unloved and unlovable, an entirelaundry list of unmet needs she hadendured.

Finally, after allowing this for a sufficientlength of time, the therapist got up,walked around the desk and after askingthe wife to stand, he embraced and kissedher long and passionately as her husbandwatched - with a raised eyebrow. Thewoman shut up and quietly sat down asthough in a daze.

The therapist turned to the husband andsaid, "This is what your wife needs at least3 times a week. Can you do this? "

"Well, I can drop her off here on Mondaysand Fridays, but on Wednesdays, I playgolf."
