The Canadair Regional Jet, the 'CRJ'

The CRJ family are the most successful and accomplished solution to fill the gap between the business jet and the commercial airliner. In the stretched 900 variant, the CRJ can even compete directly with the smaller conventional airliners such as Boeing's ubiquitous 737, whilst maintaining a grace and style such airliners can only dream of. The CRJ is no slouch either. Powered by General Electric turbofans, the CRJ variants can deliver cruise altitudes in excess of 41,000ft, accommodate 90 passengers and traverse over 3,000 km at Mach 0.82

Taking to the Sky

Like most aircraft take-off performance is improved with engines running… The CRJ simulator features new Flight Director logic for take-off, and new engine logic also. APU startup/shutdown sequences are fully simulated with all the corresponding EICAS messages.

The Firex monitor is a brand new system with one button operation and with typical attention to detail, FeelThere have included the fully working FADEC for engine management.

Once airborne, unexpected 'landings' are seldom popular and can affect an aircraft's warranty.

The very accurate autopilot control panel simulates almost every feature, which together with the Ground Proximity Warning System (GPWS) which includes multiple callouts, should ensure ensures none of the high resolution textures get scraped. The Anti-icing system will also avoid those frosty looks.

As a means of navigation, asking passengers if they recognize anything below is frowned upon by most carriers and an action for which there is no excuse in this CRJ simulation.
