(RARET)
What is RARET?
RARET will increase the preparedness and ability of special needs transportation providers to assist individuals with access and functional needs.

Regional Project
Our Strategy
The ultimate goal of the project is to coordinate and expand the network of
transportation providers and resources available to the community in the event of an emergency.
Workshop I – Survey
• March 2016
• Goal: Review and update barrier findings
• Presentations, live polling, and small group discussions.
Additional Survey
• Surveyed 38 transportation providers
• 53.33% do not have an emergency plan
• Of the 46.67% that have a plan, 62.06% have not distributed or made their plans available to employees.
Workshop II – Adverse Weather Preparedness
• October 2016
• Goal: Increase preparedness and sustainability
• Presentation and small group discussions
• 96% of the transportation providers felt better prepared afterwards.
Workshop III – AWX Tabletop
• January/February 2017
• 91 participants
• 95% of transportation providers felt better prepared.
• The workshop included presentations, small group discussions, and an adverse weather scenario.
Workshop IV – Regional Tabletop
• June 2017
• 32 participants
• Goal: Promote coordination between Pierce, King, and Snohomish Counties.

Next Steps
