Kelly & Davis (2013) Guidelines for the Reflective Supervisee Before Supervision: Schedule a regular time to meet with your supervisor weekly for 1:1 supervision Get in the right frame of mind for your session using the following guidelines: o Prepare to receive and elicit feedback o Suspend any judgment you have about yourself or others Prepare to share information about cases and field work o Prepare notes and organize details o Prepare to follow-up from previous casework, feedback and supervision Prepare critical questions that allow you to explore your work o Be aware of any reactions or judgments that might be impacting your work, including any biases you may bring o What information do you have that is leading you to have these reactions or judgments o Prepare to share difficulties and challenges with your supervisor Identify supervision objectives o What do you hope to achieve during the supervision meeting? o How will you know if you achieve this?
