2021 Easter Offering - B-LOVE

B-LOVE is an outreach effort of St. Stephen’s Youth Programs andits partners to deliver food and financial aid to families in need. Yourgrocery donations and gift cards have been a staple of this ministry. B-LOVE now reaches out across the Episcopal Diocese ofMassachusetts to partner parishes and stakeholders to bless theneeds of neighbors.

Our Easter Offering for 2021 will be to help St. Stephen’s YouthPrograms close the gap on their $60,000.00 need.

Please be prayerful in your giving to our annual Easter offering thisyear, and know that our friends in the South End need us now morethan ever.

Please make your checks payable to Church of the Redeemer andwrite B-LOVE in the memo line. Or click here (and choose donation)to donate online.

FUEL: Groceries for families in need

We continue to need volunteers to pack and deliver!

The limits on some food purchases make it difficult for us to gatherthe quantities of food needed. Currently, we are filling 185 bagswith food each week, twice what we were doing in the fall. Thanks to the continued support of so many of you, we have nothad to refuse any requests for food.

Here specifically is what you could donate. Even one or two helps, but sizes are important. While larger sizes may seem more generousand economical, the bags quickly become too heavy for therecipients and for the drivers who lift as many as 40 bags.

Canned chicken (12.5oz) or tuna (5oz each)Bag or can of beansPeanut butter (18oz)Individual serving cups of fruit or applesauce1 lb. pasta (any type)1 lb. riceBox macaroni and cheeseCereal (10-12 oz)Crackers (10-12 oz), e. g. Wheat Thins/TriscuitsMarinara sauce (24 oz), preferably in plastic jarHearty soup

Click here to sign up to sort, pack or deliver bags.

St. Stephen’s families would also appreciate $50 VISA giftcards. These cards may be purchased online or in person at storesthroughout the area. These we ask to be sent to the RedeemerParish Office or dropped off in the mail slot at Redeemer.
