Aqua-marine is believed to absorb the energy of young love, so grooms would often give an aquamarine to their brides as a wedding gift. The gemstone for the 19th wedding anniversary, aquamarine is also said to re-awaken the love of married couples. Flower of the Month– Daffodil March’s flower is the daffodil, also known as the jon-quil or narcissus. St. Patrick's Day

The Red Hatter’s will be going for High Tea at Eagle Quest Golf Course on March 22nd 11-2pm.There is a cost associated with some of these events, which the resident would pay for through their trust fund account.

Grumpy Old Men’s Club had a blast on their tour of the building. They will be in house again next month enjoying a Luck of the Irish lunch together on March 16th 11-2pm. Saturday’s in the Evergreen Dining Room at 2:00pm! 6-8 games divided into two ses-sions. 25cents per card, per round. Come out and play! The Corner Store—every Thursday at 2:00pm in the Atrium. Volunteers from the Estate will be selling items such as, chocolate bars, candy, trinkets, toothbrushes, and much more! Calgary Public Library time change! - The library will now be open at 1:00pm in the Atrium. Come on down after lunch to find a good book to read. Large Print books are available.

My Pillow My Pillow’s been with me all my life. A true companion through good times, and strife. It was made by my mother be-fore I was born. To be placed in my crib, so cozy and warm. With it under my head, it eased all my fears, Though at times it was dappled with teenager tears. I told it my secrets, cause I knew they'd be kept. The times of great joy; the times when I wept In summer when thunder roared overhead. I hid under my pillow, while bur-ied in bed. When I left deserted cause my boyfriend moved on, I hugged my dear pillow, till my heartache was gone. It was laid with great care on our honeymoon bed. So soft and so comfy, for two loving heads. The best of white down from the wild goose’s breast. Assuring true sweethearts a good night of rest. The circle’s complete, since my daughter was born. The ticking replaced, cause the old one was worn. The down is as soft as the day it was plucked. So on it my wee-one is tenderly tucked.
