Position title: Toddler Room Assistant Teacher
Reports to: lead teacher, director
Position description: The toddler room assistant teacher cares for toddlers ages 18 to 24 months and assists the lead teacher with preparation and facilitation of developmentally appropriate activities.
Primary responsibilities:•Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.•Observe and monitor children's play activities.•Keep records on individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, meals served, and medications administered. •Communicate with children's parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues. •Maintain a safe play environment
Minimum Qualifications:Must be 18 years or olderMust have an associates degree in early childhood development or related field.Must be able to work full time day time hoursMust have good communication skills and work well in a team
