Harddisk
The standard operating system on a laptop/notebook is replaced by a Linuxbased „Mini OS“, which support the hardware and the file system.
The mini OS start the imageloader. This will initiate the start of a virtual os depending end user profile (e.g. Linux or Windows).
Function
For offlinefunction, the laptop is running an own mini virtualization system, similar to the VDI.
The laptop holds on his file system an identical image like the images on the VDI.
Attached to users network, the local image will be synchronized with the central masterimage.
So images on the laptops are always up to date and do not need to be maintained seperately.
