Changes to Search ScreenText Search Section:Consolidated the Summary Statement and Abstract and Title searches to a singleText Search section on the search screen. You will now identify the text to searchon and then use the checkboxes to indicate which one or more places to search forthe specified text: Abstract, SS, and/or Title. You will only put one term in each of the two text boxes provided because the text searches are so database intensive, they will not perform adequately with a list of terms to search for.
Added the Exact Phrase Match option. Currently the text searches are “containing” type searches, we will now provide the ability to search on exact words/phrases (e.g.: “apples and bananas” search request will NOT match on project titles containing “pineapples and bananas” when exact phrase match is selected.
Crisp Search Section:Changed the CRISP terms search to allow a comma delimited list of termsto be submitted. There are actually two input boxes so that you can look for all grants with CRISP TERMS a,b,c AND e,f,g meaning grants with (one of a or b or c) AND (one of e or f or g). Added the Exact CRISP Term Match option. Same idea as for the text searches.
