GENERAL INFORMATIONS:

Diabetes mellitus (DM) or simply diabetes, is a group of metabolic diseases in which a person has high blood sugar (high glycemia).

This high blood sugar produces the symptoms of polyuria, polydipsia, and polyphagia.

Diabetes is due to either the pancreas not producing enough insulin, or because cells of the body do not respond properly to the insulin that is produced.

Within the field of healthcares, quality of life is often regarded in terms of how it is negatively affected, on an individual level, a debilitating weakness that is not life-threatening, life-threatening illness, terminal illness, the predictable, natural decline in the health of an elder, an unforeseen mental/physical decline of a loved one, chronic, end-stage disease processes.

THE QUALITY OF LIFE:

Under such identities as the previous, the patients:

• start to lose slowly but surely, the certitude that they still hold a role in the community to which they relate

• feel the effect of rejection existing at the beginning in the micro group, extending afterwards to the entire society.
