PIKKI

The main foundation of the formation of PIKKI began

with the wishes of the President of the Republic of

Indonesia as stated in his inauguration speech

"We must work as hard as we can to restore Indonesia

as a maritime country. Ocean, sea, strait and bay are

the future of our civilization. We have been backing

the sea too long, backing the ocean, backing the strait

and the bay. "

In connection with the wishes of the President of the Republic of Indonesia,

the Director General of High Technology-Based Leading Industries (IUBTT)

of the Ministry of Industry

Budi Darmadi said that "Indonesia ideally has 200 units of ship component

industry, currently only 100 units are available, so it still needs 100 more

units with an investment of Rp. 50-100 billion per unit to meet economies of

scale. The production capacity is ideally around 10 components for each

type per month "

Indonesia needs to build a ship component industry so that the shipyard

industry is also more independent and can reduce imports of ship

components. Moreover, 100 shipyard component industries currently

operating in the country are not pure component industries.

The industry is still integrated with the shipyard industry. Gradually, all ship

component production work that has been held by the shipyard industry

must be transferred entirely to the pure component industry.

Furthermore, the main shipyard industry in the country will be more

encouraged to produce new vessels or run repairs.

The Ministry of Industry will continue to encourage the development of

domestic ship component industries. This step is needed as a strategy to

spur industrialization of national shipyards. Therefore steps and policies will

be focused on efforts to create markets to be able to repeat orders, so the

industry is also efficient.

Furthermore, the Director of the maritime industry, Aerospace and Defense,

Directorate General of Metal, machinery Industry transportation equipment

and Electronic Components Industry Association initiated the formation of

Indonesia Vessel abbreviated PIKKI for hosts the producers of domestic

ship components to take a role in realizing the Government's program in the

shipping industry at once makes the domestic ship's components industry

grew stronger, self-sufficient, and advanced to the next host in the country

on its own.

This association was founded on the initiative of the Ministry of Industry at

that time Mr. Hasbi, IMATAP Director, Mr. Rudy, President Director of PT

BKI and several IKM entrepreneurs including Kosasih, Eki Komaruddin,

Baharuddin, Januar Pribadi, Yunus, Jatmiko, and Zakky.

The Purpose of Establishing PIKKI

Compile the component manufacturer ship domestically during this

struggle singly, to unite and jointly promote efforts, improve quality and

production capacity so that it can achieve optimal profit.

Obtaining the optimal business results expected to be through

cooperation and unity of the members in each of the work done.

Cooperation and unity is implemented in the form of mutual aid since

the existence of an order or request a product until the delivery of the

product to the buyer and customer.

PIKKI work program which is arranged together based on the principle

of kinship, sense of belonging and affinity, advanced principle and

mutual benefit, and a high spirit of nationalism or the spirit of "Red and

White" and Garuda on my chest Thus”, through the PIKKI

organization, producers who are members of PIKKI are expected to

benefit larger or that it should be acquired for entrepreneurs than if

attempted in singly.

One of the purposes of PIKKI is producing a national Ship Components
