description
cruising multihull sailboat– 50’ flexible skin on frame– construction by one skilled worker with a part time assistant
– can be built anywhere– building time: 1 year
why a skin boat?– superior strength/weight ratio– test theory that flexible hull shows better flow characteristics than rigid one
– no corrosion or delamination– low cost– lashings = cheap labor
wish list1. has to withstand offshore
environs2. cost under $40,000.3. top speed 20kts4. beachable5. comfortable live-aboard:
