THE PREZ SEZ Hi everyone! Summer is over and our rally season begins. Vicki and I are still on our RV trip visiting friends and attending rallies up north. Our travels took us, along with our teenage granddaughters, to the Black Hills and Devils Tower. Also, we attended a rally with our northern chapter, Midwest Pacers, at a casino in Minnesota. We are currently in Denver and a headed to the Balloon Festival in Albuquerque, NM before heading back to Florida. I attended the Redmond, Oregon Reunion to complete 46 years of Roll N Rebels attendance. The meeting was very effective as the budget is balanced, the past president remains on the board and FMCAssist started October 1 st and is free to members. FMCAssist is like Medex but upgraded. A personal thanks to the Duncan’s who provided transportation and friendship for me while I was there. Jim Duncan, SEA Area Vice-President, presented information about the SEA Rally in Sarasota at the SEA Chapter caucus in Redmond. There are approximately 200 electric spots available so get your reservations in soon. The Sarasota Fairgrounds manager is working with the SEA for successful rally. As this was the first rally of the 2014 – 2015 season, it was primarily a welcome back. There was discussion led by Wagonmaster Chuck Mentzel as to confirmation of the hosts for the upcoming scheduled rallies. The Wilsons will be joining the Hices as hosts for November at Campers Holiday (Brooksville) and the Drennings and Tom Robbins & Linda Olenych will host the December rally at Sun ‘n Fun (Sarasota). It was agreed to continue to have a gift exchange – “Yankee Swap” - as the entertainment for the December rally. Gifts should be limited to a $10 value. And, for those who would like to contribute, Laurie Wilson will collect the gifts for needy children. (unwrapped, please) Chuck Copeland, as host for this rally, reminded everyone that the rally fee was the set $20, as we had voted last spring. The meeting was adjourned at 6:00 pm. Hi everyone!

Saturday our hosts made a great breakfast buffet then we all different directions. Some to the Red Barn Flea Market, some to South Florida Museum and Bishop Planetarium and some went to the BAYFEST on Anna Marie Island to see a car show, vendor booths and lunch on the city pier.Pot luck dinner Saturday night was put on completely by our hosts. They did a great job for a good Italian dinner of spaghetti, garlic toast, salad, banana pudding and brownies for dessert. Pass the trash ended the nights activities.Sunday morning was a continental breakfast with goodbyes until next month at Campers Holiday in Brooksville.

Thanks JoAnn for the write up.

As many of you know, Fran and Ed Hanrahan have sold their MH due to Ed’s declining health. As Fran’s co-captain for the last 2 years and a seminar volunteer

for 16 years, I have accepted the position as captain for the coming South East Area Rally. As such, I will need volunteers to fill the positions of seminar monitors. Most of you know that this is one of the more fun and desirable ways to volunteer at SEA. I don’t know yet what amenities will be allotted for our group of volunteers but I hear good things are in the works. I will know more after attending the workshop and planning rally in October, being held in Tallahassee. Since I will not be at the October rally, due to a prior commitment, I would appreciate you letting me know of your interest in volunteering by e-mail [email protected] or by phone at 863-660-1955.I will miss Fran and Ed, as will most of you, at the Rollin’ Rebel Rallies, SEA and FMCA functions and especially as traveling buddies. For nearly 20 years Fran has been an inspiration to me as well as a friend. I know you all join me in wishing them the

best of luck and comfort as they head down a difficult and unknown path. Our Best wishes go out to Sandy for a complete and speedy recovery.

Thanks, Lynn

Some fun times from Key West in September!
