Supporting Mission in Vanuatu The Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand has been involved in mission in Vanuatu for a long time. The missionaries who served in Vanuatu, formerly known as the New Hebrides, are remembered with gratitude and respect to this day by many people throughout these islands.Today our involvement is one of mutual partnership with the Presbyterian Church of Vanuatu (PCV). We support their ministry in many and varied ways, and invite you to join us. The Ni-Van people are warm and generous and are often referred to as the happiest people on earth. But the nation of Vanuatu is recognised as one of the poorest in the Pacific, still lacking in many basic needs.
The PCV is actively involved in serving their communities in pastoral ministry, education, healthcare, and other community focused programmes. A lack of infrastructure and support services add many challenges to their work. You can help the PCV by sharing your resources to support them in many different ways.
