His Birth And Our New Birth
"Behold, a virgin shall bring forth a son, and
they shall call His name Emanuel, which being
interpreted is, God with us." - Isaiah 7:14
His Birth in History. "Therefore also that holy
thing which shall be born of thee shall be called
the Son of God." (Luke 1:35.) Jesus Christ was
born into this world, not from it. He did not
evolve out of history; He came into history from
the outside. Jesus Christ is not the best human
being, He is a Being Who cannot be accounted
for by the human race at all. He is not man
becoming God, but God Incarnate, God coming
into human flesh, coming into it from outside.
His life is the Highest and the Holiest entering in
at the Lowliest door. Our Lord's birth was an
advent.
His Birth in Me. "Of whom I travail in birth
again until Christ be formed in you." (Gal.
4:19.) Just as Our Lord came into human
history from outside, so He must come into me
from outside. Have I allowed my personal
human life to become a "Bethlehem" for the
Son of God? I cannot enter into the realm of the
Kingdom of God unless I am born from above by
a birth totally unlike natural birth. "Ye must be
born again." This is not a command, it is a
foundation fact. The characteristic of the new
birth is that I yield myself so completely to God
that Christ is formed in me. Immediately Christ is
formed in me, His nature begins to work through
me.
God manifest in the flesh - that is what is
made profoundly possible for you and me by the
Redemption.

Women of Praise Meeting On December 1st,the Women of Praise will
be having theirmonthly meeting. Sister Judy Langley has a special
Word just for the ladies. You will notwant to miss it! We will also
be finalizing plans for our last fundraiser of the year - wewant it
to be our best one yet.
Empowered Men At last months meeting themen brainstormed and
came up with lots of
great ideas for their group. Come out onDecember 1st to see how
you can get involved.
Homemade Candy Sale The Women of Praisewill be selling trays of
homemade candy forChristmas. We will be gathering to package
thegoodies on Wednesday, December 14th at 08:00
PM. See one of the ladies to place your order
today!
New Years Eve Party You probably dont
need us to tell you the date of the church New
Years Eve Party. Join us at 10:00 PM around
the campfire as we have a time of fellowship
and pray in the new year. Bring the good youwant to cook/roast
over an open fire.

Contest Winners On Sunday, December 11t,
the Kids of Praise Contest winner will be
announced. It has been a close race between several of the
children and with three weeks
left ANYONE could win! Bring your child to
Kids Church Sunday mornings at 09:45 AM tosee how they could win
a HUGE basket full of
prizes!
Christmas Special On Sunday, December 18th,
at 07:00 PM, the Praise Temple Christian
Academy and Praise Kids Learning Center
students will be presenting a Christmas Pageant. There will be
dramas, poems,
scripture recitations, and songs. Come out and
see the true meaning of Christmas presented by
our young people.
Christmas Party (PTCA/PKLC) PraiseTemple Christian Academy and
Praise Kids
Learning Center students will be having a
Christmas Party on Friday, December 16th
from 10:30AM-Noon
Youth Fundraiser Thank you to everyone who
sponsored the youth group Chicken & Rice
Dinner. Special thanks to Pastor Langley, Jonathan Langley, and
Larry Martinek for
cooking the meal. It was delicious!
Fun Spot Trip The youth will be going to FunSpot on Friday,
December 16th. We will be
leaving promptly at 06:30 PM. Please see
Brother Jonathan or Sister Megan for theremaining balance on
your ticket. Permission
slips will be distributed on Wednesday,
December 14th.
