We call this neat little system Accountant-Client Messaging (ACM), and it requires you and your clients to install just a small piece of software on your PCs. ACM works just like IM, available for general use from sources like Google, Yahoo, and MSN. The difference is that ACM is secured and is limited to messaging between you and the clients you choose. When you send a message, it pops up on your client’s desktop and your client can respond. If you wish you can save the log of your conversation, just like e-mail.
