We can neither organize traditional activity of HC for poor children in missions called Epiphany carols singing, as it is done in other countries. That is why all donations come from donors and from traditional charitable activities of HC as is: Jeden drek navc (One Extra Present) Misijn jarmark (Mission Fair) Misijn kol (Mission Cake) Misijn trdlovn (Mission Strudelbaking) Pohled pro misie (Postcard for Missions) Donors may provide their financial support for concrete intention: support of projects for poorest children help for children in Africa support of orphans and support of childrens education. HC in the Czech Republic cooperates also with religious communities which like to participate in our activities and they help with formation of children and youth. 2013: received donations reached 8,7 millons CZK which is 218 thousands CZK more than in (1 EUR = cca 27 CZK) One Extra Present (December) This activity motivates children to pray and save money for children in missions. At Christmas, children can wrap up the money they saved and place it in front of a crib at home or bring it to an altar in the church. Mission fair (year-long activity) Volunteers present exhibition of donated or hand made things which people can take as they wish. Financial donations then contribute to the mission. Mission Cake Mission Cake (Lent, or any other time) Children help bake cakes, offer them to people in the church and ask for donation to support the poor children in mission for HC projects. Mission Strudelbaking (usually during the Easter octave, or any other time) Families, schools and other communities bake strudels which are then offered at agape or in packages as appeal for financial help. This activity supports nutrition projects. Postcard for Mission Easter, Christmas (Lent, Advent) Children draw pictures on pre-printed postcards with Easter or Christmas topics.
