!!Perpetual Adoration of The Blessed SacramentEucharistic Adoration is the act of worshiping God as He is present in the Blessed Sacrament. In adoration, one enters into the mystery of the same Christ who suffered, died, rose from the dead, and ascended into heaven. You can come at any time to visit our Eucharistic Lord who waits with arms wide open and with a heart burning for love of you.!At the Oratory we are blessed to have Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, meaning that our Lord is exposed on the altar at all times of the day and night, except during Mass. The Fathers of the Oratory invite you to participate in this work of devotion by committing to spending an hour of the week in adoration before the Blessed Sacrament as a scheduled adorer.

Hours in Need of Regular Adorers: There are now 10 hours needing committed weekly adorers.

Sunday: 12 noon, 10pmMonday: 12 noon Tuesday: 12 noon, 11pmWednesday: 2amThursday: 11amFriday: 12 noon, 4pmSaturday: 3am !To sign up for an hour, please fill out a sign up sheet at the station in the front lobby, register online at www.pittsburghoratory.org/apostolate/adoration, or email Becca at [email protected]. !If you would like to adore regularly, but feel you cannot be solely responsible for an hour, please consider signing up as an adjunct adorer for an already filled hour or register as a substitute!

My God’s Glance, His ravishing Smile, That is Heaven for me!” !- St. Therese of Lisieux

!What is The Secular Oratory? !

Oratories undertake their work and ministry within what St. Philip called the “Secular Oratory.” By membership in the Secular Oratory the laity enter deeply into the spiritual and liturgical life, in imitation of the life and charism of St. Philip Neri. The Congregation of priests and brothers together with the laity form the “two lungs” of the Oratory. We encourage all adults and families who come here for any of our sacramental, devotional, or educational activities to register as members and to be involved in our many groups. Please note that our Oratory is not a parish, and thus Secular Oratorians will need to be registered at their home parish.

“Cast yourself into the arms of God and be very sure that if He wants anything of you, He will fit you for the work and give you strength.” - St. Philip Neri

“I wish the intellect to range with the utmost freedom, and religion to enjoy an equal freedom... I want to destroy that diversity of centres which puts everything into confusion by creating a contrariety of influences. I wish the same spots and the same individuals to be at once oracles of philosophy and shrines of devotion... I want the intellectual layman to be religious, and the devout ecclesiastic to be intellectual” - Blessed John Henry Newman
