Dear Members,
Thank you for a fun filled evening at the November social!
The Wreath, Tree and Centerpiece Auction was a big hit!
Once again, Casey and her team really outdid themselves!
Also, a big shout-out to our Community Grants Chair Stephanie, for her
outstanding work on our monthly community outreach partners.
Please come and check out our awesome sub-clubs. We have
Bunco, Craft, Day Trip, Lunch Bunch, International Cooking, and Outdoor
Activities clubs. Our Let’s Take A Day Trip sub-club is off to Natchitoches
in December for their annual Christmas tour of Historic Homes. It’s
bound to be a fantastic time! If you would like to chair/co-chair a club,
please get in touch with our 1st VP Samantha Rowlands at
I can’t wait to see everyone at the Warrior Center for our fourth
evening social of the year on December 12th. We will be celebrating the
upcoming Holiday Season with some themed table games, food, and as
always lots of fun! Let’s close out the year with a bang! I can’t wait to see
what the 20s have in store for us! As always, if you have any questions,
comments or concerns about the club, please don’t hesitate to reach out
to me at [email protected].

Community Grants
Every month I am so excited, and a little nervous, to see how our collection for our community partner goes. And every month I am blown away with how giving our group of amazing women can be; this month was no exception.
For November we partnered with Leesville Helping Hands, collecting items for their food pantry that serves an average of 750 people a month, including about 225 veterans. With such a busy November Social and with the holidays coming up, I won’t lie, I was skeptical of how much we would be able collect but my doubt quickly vanished away as people started arriving; We collected over 100 non-perishable items!
For December Social, we will be focusing on our local Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). CASA is a nonprofit organization focused on mobilizing trained volunteers to advocate for the needs of abused and neglected children appointed by courts. Presently they have 27 volunteers serving 43 children locally. These children are in the foster program and often don’t have a lot of personal belongings. Please bring a toy item (ages 3-17) to assist with their Christmas, Birthday, and Good Job Award programs.
Our grants program applications will be launched soon, please keep a look out for more information.
For more information on CASA please visit casawestcenla.org. If you
have any questions about our community projects or our grants
program please free feel to email [email protected].

Wreath, Tree

Auction
FPSC’s November social featured the Wreath, Tree & Centerpiece Auction which
is always a highly anticipated and fun evening! We had over 80 members
present that night to bid on 31 items that were generously donated. Thank you to everyone who came out that evening to
support the FPSC!
The Decorating Committee are the magic makers
behind the beautifully crafted tablescapes and
decorations at every FPSC evening social. If you have
a knack for decorations or just would like to help with
set up, the committee would love to have you join their
team! If interested, please contact Casey Black at
[email protected] or reach out via the
Fort Polk Spouses Club Facebook page.
