Sidney Sussex Community Group, a not for profit organization, have taken
over control of The Pavilion from North East Lincolnshire Council with the sole
aim of returning it to a community venue.
The building was built in 1934 at a cost of £1866.00 and stands in Sussex
Recreation Ground, land that was gifted to Cleethorpes by Sidney Sussex
College, Cambridge
The building has been fully restored inside and out and is now equipped
for a multitude of uses (see over).
Because Sidney Sussex Community Group are a charity and it’s a community
venue we aim to keep the hire charges as low as possible (see over for example).
The Pavilion is a wonderful old building and a land mark in the area and
deserves to be put back into good use.
