    FAQ’SWhere is The Patio?The Patio is a semi-private event space located within The Garden, with the black & white checkered floor next to the kids playground area

    Kids:Kids Meals:

    Kids meals are allocated for children between the ages of 3 years - 12 years. Children under 3 years are not catered for & are complimentary.

    Highchairs:

    Highchairs are available on request with your coordinator.

    Access time:You can have access to the Patio 30 min prior to your event for any special touches such as the place cards. Our staff are happy to assist you with this on the day.

    Weather:The Patio is completely under cover and your event will still go ahead in the case of wet weather. We have heaters installed in the ceiling in the event of cold weather.

    Weddings & Ceremonies:

    The Patio space is not suitable for a wedding ceremony as this space as it is an extension of the Garden which is open to the public. We are happy to facilitate a low key wedding lunch if you wish.

    BYO:Beverages;

    The Grounds of Alexandria is fully licensed so we do not allow BYO.

    Catering;The Grounds of Alexandria provides full food service, so we do not allow external catering on the premises. The only exception would be an external cake or kosher meals at an additional charge.

    External Cake; You are more then welcome to bring in an external cake for an event, however it will incur an external cakeage fee of 3.0 per person. This will need to be confirmed with your coordinator prior to the event.

    Site Visits:

    The Patio is open to the public 7 days a week, unless there is an event being held in there. Please feel free to come in and see the space at your leisure.

  • Patio Packages

    Cancellation Policy:All cancellations must be submitted in writing. All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

    Music & Entertainment:The Grounds bar tunes will be playing through the Garden which you will be able to hear in the Patio. As it is an intimate space you will not require a microphone or speakers. Kids entertainment is permitted, how-ever there are restrictions - please discuss with your coordinator.

    Styling:The Grounds have an in-house stylist who can assist you with any styling or design, however you are able to do your own styling as long as it doesn’t include any floral.

    Confetti, rice & glitter:We kindly ask that no confetti, rice or glitter is brought onto the premises.

    Bathrooms:In the Garden there are bathrooms which Patio guests are able to use.

    Flowers:The Grounds Florals by Silva is the preferred in-house florist at the Grounds. All clients of The Grounds must receive a complimentary floral quote from Florals by Silva. This will be part of your coordination process which usually takes place approximately 3-6 months prior to your function. There will be no obligation to proceed with this quote and the client is allowed to bring their own florals to our premise should the quote not be of satisfaction or because of price. However, we will require formal confirmation should you wish to proceed or decline our floral quote.

    Staff:Your event will be allocated our professional service staff for the duration of your event.
