The Poetry Center and the PCCHC strive to maintain a barrier-free facility including complete access for patrons using wheelchairs, large print materials, and FM listening devices.

Please contact 973-684-6555 for availability of services.

The Poetry Center and PCCHC were awarded several Citations of Excellence and are funded in part by a grant from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, and by funds from the National Endowment for the Arts.

The PCCHC’s History Re-grant Program is made possible by a general operating support grant from the New Jersey Historical Commission, a division of the Department of State.

Praise for The Poetry Center… I believe that Maria Gillan and The Poetry Center at Passaic County Community College provide some of the best opportunities, and in some cases only opportunities, for New Jersey poets to ply their craft, to hone their craft and to express their creativity.

Maria and the Poetry Center are the jewels of Paterson and Passaic. It is an invaluable resource for writers and those who love poetry.

The Poetry Center is one of the stars in the constellation of fine poetry and art – it’s one of the best places to write and share poetry.

Praise for PCCHC, TAPP and The PCCC Art Galleries…Your programs are wonderful and provide a unique service that is not duplicated anywhere in the county…The availability of small grants to non-profit establishments is vital to cultural programming at the local level. TAPP theatrical productions and poetry writing activities expand my students’ horizons…They learn to tap into their own creativity as writers, and to appreciate the creativity of others. I really enjoyed the tour through the Hamilton Club Art Gallery and the Federici Sculpture Studio. The tour and the information you provided us influenced me to care more about Paterson’s history.
