mysterious dragon that lives deep in the

meets Pete (Oakes Fegley), a 10-year-old
orphan who says he lives in the woods
with a giant, friendly dragon. With help
from a young girl named Natalie (Oona
Laurence), Grace sets out to investigate if
this fantastic claim can be true.

February is Black History Month
Black History Month is an annual
celebration of achievements by African
Americans and a time for recognizing the
central role of blacks in U.S. history. The
event grew out of “Negro History Week,”
the brainchild of noted historian Carter G.
Woodson and other prominent African
Americans. Since 1976, every U.S.
President has officially designated the
month of February as Black History
Month. Other countries around the world,
including Canada and the United
Kingdom, also devote a month to
celebrating black history. Pascal Senior
Center is proud to honor the achievements,
innovations and progression of African
Americans in our own center and across
the nation.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE AARP TAX-AIDE
PROGRAM
AARP Tax Aide, a service of the AARP Foundation and the nation’s largest free, volunteer-run tax counseling and preparation service, is looking for volunteers for the 2018 tax preparation season (January thru April 2019). We will need additional appointment takers, greeters and, es-pecially, tax counselors at several sites throughout Anne Arundel County, including some new sites being added.
If you know how to prepare a tax return and know your way around a computer, we need your help to provide tax preparation services. All tax counselors will learn more about the tax changes for this year and be trained and certified on our computer system, called TaxSlayer, provided by the IRS. You may become a tax counselor by attending a week of classroom training during Jan-uary, passing the IRS and Maryland tests, and by agreeing to volunteer at least 40 hours during the tax season at any of the sites in Anne Arundel County.
If you are interested in helping provide this service, you can sign up at <http:www.tinyurl/tapvapplication>. If you have any questions, please contact Bob Welenc at 410-969-8303 or email him [email protected].
What’s Happening at Pascal?!
