• Fr. Lucius Tyrasinski was the priest at the time of the church transition from its wooden exterior to its current brick exterior finish as it stands today.
BETHLEHEM CHRISTIAN FAMILIES will be here at all Masses the weekend of June 30th & July 1st, selling carved crucifixes, religious art work, and rosaries- all made of olive wood which is native to Israel and Bethlehem. Sale of these goods will help them very much and also give you the opportunity to have “something” authentic from the Holy Land.
DIVINE REDEEMER SCHOOL NEWS Mr. Mark Talarico, has informed Dr. Maureen G. Marsteller, Superintendent for Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Greensburg and the members of the Board of Trust Administrators, that he has decided not to return as principal of Divine Redeemer School in Ford City. Mr. Talarico is grateful for the opportunity to serve the school and the children for the past year. His many years of Catholic education have been very fulfilling and he hopes to return to Catholic ministry in the future. Dr. Marsteller and the members of the Board of Trust Administrators thank him for his service and wish him well in the future.
SECOND COLLECT JUNE 23 & 24 * PETER’S PENCE-HOLY SEE The Peter’s Pence Collection helps to fund the charitable works of the Holy Father. The proceeds from this collection provide emergency relief assistance to those throughout the world who suffer from war, oppression, and natural disasters. The Peter’s Pence Collection gives us the opportunity to extend a sign of peace to the Body of Christ around the world. Our gifts to this annual collection help the Holy Father to support victims of disaster, war and oppression, and others most in need of assistance. The Peter’s Pence Collection is used to strengthen dioceses, religious orders, and struggling communities of faith when they need it most. The Support of the Holy See Collection is used to meet the Diocese’s obligation arising from Canon 1271 to contribute to the support of the operational expenses of the Holy See.

Some ideas can include small appliances, candles, dishware, stemware, towels, bath items, car cleaning supplies, sporting goods, gift certificates, jewelry, kids toys, home décor, spiritual items, ornaments, seasonal, gardening, crafts, etc.
♦ Please include your name and address with the item so the proper acknowledgement can be made.
♦ If you would like to make your own basket, please provide the items along with the available baskets in each church and return them to the Parish Office

CongratulationsCongratulationsCongratulationsCongratulations to Jacob Herbst Jacob Herbst Jacob Herbst Jacob Herbst of St. Lawrence Parish who was awarded the Diocese of Greensburg Parish Youth Honors Liturgy Award. The Diocese recognizes youth whose Catholic faith is lived in their personal life, in their relationships, and in their service to the parish. These young people have been identified by their pastor or leader in youth ministry as a young person whose Catholic life can be an example to other young men and women in our community of faith. Bishop Malesic will celebrate a Eucharistic Liturgy on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral to recognize these young people. A reception will follow Mass.
Catholic Daughters of the Americas Catholic Daughters of the Americas Catholic Daughters of the Americas Catholic Daughters of the Americas will be sponsoring a day trip to Erie on Saturday, July 21st. This trip will include a visit to the Cathedral, a luncheon on the Victorian Princess, and attend a vigil Mass at St. Joseph Church with Fr. Larry Richard. The cost is $99 per person. SUICIDE PREVENTION SEMINAR
Most people know of someone who has dealt with suicidal
depression, has a�empted suicide or has died by suicide. If you
have ever wondered if there was something that you could have
done, then you might want to consider a�ending Soul Shop.
Soul Shop explores the incidence of suicide, self-injuries, suicidal
thinking and people impacted by the death of another. It offers a
conversa�onal approach to talking about suicide that can save
lives and teaches concrete ways of integra�ng suicide preven�on
into pastoral care, teaching, training and much more. The GLMA
will be hos�ng a Soul Shop on Wednesday, June 27, from 8:30 AM
– 4:30 PM at Excela Square Latrobe. The cost of the event is
