In the Pardoner's Tale, the three rioters pledge to hunt down and kill Death (described as a great thief of lives) so he will never be able to kill more people, and to avenge those deaths associated with him.

Does the old man know that in directing the three rioters to he oak tree he ir sending them to their deaths ?

They meet an old man who must wander the earth until he can find someone who will exchange his youth for the old man's age. The old man tells them Death is hidden under an oak tree, and when they dig they discover an immense treasure. 

Do you thing the old man represented death ?

Maybe could be represent death, i haven’t couldn’t represent so well the definition of death yet. So i couldn’t express the old man as death.

What Person in the news today, or in the recent past, has shown character traits similar to those of the Pardoner ?

I thing nowdays or in the recen past maybe could be me exist a similar person like the Pardoner, but it’s so difficult decided which person is really similar to the pardoner.
