ART SCRIBBLES- January 2015 Art For The Sky is coming to Chaires! On February 2nd, 3rd and 4th, Daniel Dancer, visiting artist, will be creating “Art For The Sky” on our big playground. Everyone at Chaires will be part of the art. This year we will create a Painted Bunting. On Monday we will start with an introductory assembly at 9:00. Monday afternoon Mr. Dancer will be gridding out the field and painting the outline of the Bunting. We will need some volunteers to help on Monday afternoon and Tuesday to help Mr. Dancer prep the field. Tuesday from 1pm-2pm all students and teachers will go to the field to be a part of the art. We will have a crane onsite for Mr. Dancer to photograph and film the project. On Wednesday afternoon we will watch the video. Everyone in the school will receive a photo of the finished project. Thanks for all of your kind donations to the art room. We have enough cardboard tubes now, but we still need Egg Cartons. Also thanks for the denim jeans. The jeans will be used for the “Art For The Sky” project. We will need all of the jeans by Friday, January 23. After the project all of the jeans will be donated to Goodwill. Thank you and “Go Out and Create.” THE LOST AND FOUND IS FULL! Please have your child check The Lost and Found located in the cafeteria. Lost items include jackets, coats, lunch boxes, scarfs, sweatshirts and one pink mitten.
