A Global CompanyIn 1983, The Outdoor Connection, Inc. was created by current CEO, Floyd Hightower. Mr. Hightower began the company in his home garage with a novel Rapid, One-Hand Adjustment sling called The Original Super-Sling. The purpose of the sling was to help hunters improve their marksmanship while providing a safe and comfortable carry strap. On weekdays, Floyd would assemble the slings, and on the weekend he would drive from dealer-to-dealer selling his innovation. The Original Super-Sling is now one of the world’s best selling slings, earning the company distinction as The Sling Company. Presently, The Outdoor Connection manufactures a variety of hunting, shooting and sporting accessories.

The Original Super-Sling with 1” wide webbing was the first product manufactured by The Outdoor Connection, Inc. For more than 30 years it has been the precedent for our Family of Super-Slings with its Rapid One-Hand Adjustment. The Super-Sling 2+ is 1¼” wide webbing with all the features of the Original Super-Sling.

The innovative Thumb-Loop allows for maximum control of the sling and firearm. The Thumb-Loop also provides comfort by eliminating tight gripping of the sling, which leads to hand and arm fatigue.

Sling (1”) and adds a comfortable shape conforming

shoulder pad. The shoulder pad cushions the shoulder

and takes out the bouncing motion of a firearm without

stretching or contracting. The Original Padded Super-Sling

molds itself to the shape of the shoulder, providing

maximum comfort during those long days in the field.

The innovative Thumb-Loop allows for maximum control of

The TOTAL Shotgun Sling takes The Original Super-Sling 2+ and adds a buttstock attaching device and The TOTAL Cap. The buttstock device cradles the shotgun using a hook-and-loop design, securely fastening the sling to the shotgun. This design eliminates the need for swivel studs.

non-slip neoprene for carrying comfort that absorbs the weight of the

firearm. The ELITE Sling is constructed with superior 1” Mil-Spec type

webbing and has a Thumb-Loop for safety and control. The ELITE
