THE ORIGINAL AND BEST BURLINGTON

ESO UK CULTURE CLASS We took our ESO 1º and 3º students on a fun trip to Britain where they could learn about the different parts of the UK, its national symbols, the Royal Family, food, sport, literature, famous people, pop music and other aspects of life in Britain. There were plenty of opportunities for students to participate throughout the class with fantastic prizes for correct answers. At the end of the class, there was the chance for one lucky student to win an extraspecial prize in a quiz based on the TV show‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’

La Editorial Burlington, cuyos textos estamos trabajando en 1º y 3º de ESO, tuvo la

gentileza de obsequiarnos con una clase especial sobre cultura británica. Y de verdad que

fue muy especial… Solo hay que ver las caras de los alumnos de 3º de ESO

Llena de curiosidades geográficas, literarias, musicales, deportivas, etc. pero sobre todo

lingüísticas . Con práctica de pronunciación y una gran dosis de humor británico.

La parte final de la clase fue un juego de preguntas “¿Quién quiere ser millonario?” en el

que se dio la oportunidad de conseguir un premio extra tras demostrar su nivel de cultura

británica. Nos sorprendió a todos con la posibilidad de llamar a su madre para conseguir

ayuda y pudieron conversar con una auténtica “ Sweet and Old English Lady”

Todos tuvieron la oportunidad de participar, demostrar lo que saben sobre el Reino Unido,

algunos su nivel de inglés, y en general pasamos un buen rato disfrutando y aprendiendo.
