Through a visit to its production plant in O Castro (Sada), you will discover more about the manufacture and the representation of the Celtic symbolism in our culture in one of the emblems of the Galician artistic expression: the Sargadelos ceramics. You will also be invited to visit the Carlos Maside Museum, which houses an important collection of Galician contemporary art.

In the afternoon, you will complete the day with a visit to the workshop of Terralume, where you will be able to take part in an artistic ceramic workshop. If you prefer, Susana might accompany you along a ceramic route of around the city of A Coruña and its surroundings, which will teach you all the secrets of contemporary ceramics.

TERRALUME

SCULPTURE PARK AND AND THE WIND ROSE AT THE HERCULES TOWER

In the city of A Coruña you should visit the sculpture park at the Breogan Tower and its Compass Rose, a mosaic of figures and symbols that recount adventures and customs of the Celts. In addition, if you decide to take this route on weekends, you can count on the help of a special companion, the Celtic warrior Míl Espáine, by signing up in advance for free guided tours, which are organized by the City Council of A Coruña every Saturday.

The following day, as you have already known and crossed the Ara Solis, you shall be prepared to know the Death’s Coast (Costa da Morte), the Finisterrae where ancient Celts wanderers arrived from all over Europe to the place where the Sun set each day to be reborn to a new life of light.

NACHO PORTO

Wrapped in this magical atmosphere we propose you to know the Nacho Porto’s symbolic mythological and creative universe. There you will discover the art from a very personal perspective and, at the same time, a universal one. The bestiary, which encompasses up to 4 generations, boasts contemporary craftsmanship awards. From the idyllic and artistic to the most elementary or technology, everything in this artist will surprise you.

A mandatory stop is the Pindo Mountain, where from the highest point, known as A Moa; there are truly magical ocean views. For company you will have the stone warriors who defended it and the remains of ancient fortresses that guarded end of the world.
