CONCERTS ARE HELD IN PUBS , CLUBS AND OTHER VENUES .ON THIS DAY THE PEOPLE OF WALES ARE ATTACHED TO CLOTHING , ONE OR BOTH NATIONAL SYMBOLS OF WALES : DAFFODIL (TOTAL WELSH CHARACTER) OR THE LEEK ( SAINT DAVID'S PERSONAL SYMBOL ) . GIRLS SOMETIMES WEAR TRADITIONAL WELSH COSTUMES TO SCHOOL. ALSO IN CELEBRATION OF THIS DAY PLAYS AN IMPORTANT ROLE FLAG OF SAINT DAVID , WHO CAN OFTEN BE SEEN ON THE STREETS OF WALES.
