I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven,

(All bow during these two lines.)

and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.

  • For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

O Mary, you always shine on our pathas a sign of salvation and of hope.We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who at the cross took part in Jesus’ pain, keeping your faith firm.

You, Salvation of the Roman People, know what we need, and we are sure you will provideso that, as in Cana of Galilee,we may return to joy and to feastingafter this time of trial.

  • Help us, Mother of Divine Love,to conform to the will of the Fatherand to do as we are told by Jesus, who has taken upon himself our sufferingsand carried our sorrowsto lead us, through the cross,to the joy of the resurrection. Amen.

Under your protection, we seek refuge, Holy Mother of God. Do not disdain the entreaties of we who are in trial, but deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.

    pr e pa r a t i o N o f t h e Gi f t s(Choir) Peace Prayer of St. Francis Peter Latona

    (b. 1968)

Lord, make of me an instrument of thy peace.Where there is hatred, let me sow thy love;Where there is injury, thy pardon, Lord; And where there’s doubt, true faith in thee.

Where there is discord, let me bring accord;Where there is falsehood, only thy truth;Where there is despair, only thy hope;Where there is darkness, light;Where there is sadness, everlasting joy.

O Master,Grant that I may not so much seekTo be consoled, as to console those in need;To be understood, as to understand; To be loved, as to love one another.

  • For it is in giving that we receive; In surrendering that we behold; It is in pardoning that we are pardoned; And it is in dying that we are born to life eternal. Amen.

When I consider thy heav’ns, even the works of thy fingers:the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained. What is man, that thou art mindful of him:and the son of man, that thou visitest him?Thou madest him little lower than the angels:and hast crowned him with glory and honour.Thou makest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands:and thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet;sheep and oxen: yea, and all the beasts of the field;fowls of the air, and the fishes of the sea:and whatsoever walketh through the paths of the seas.O Lord our Governor: how excellent is thy Name in the world!I will give thanks unto thee, O Lord, with my whole heart:I will speak of all thy marv’llous works.I will be glad and rejoice in thee:yea, my songs will I make of thy Name, O thou most Highest.
