Evans, 86, of Irwin County, diedWednesday, October 17, 2012 atPhoebe Dorminy Medical Centerin Fitzgerald.

Funeral services were held at11 a.m., Friday, October 19 at thePaulk Funeral Home Chapel inFitzgerald with the Rev. RexJohnson and the Rev. Ray John-son officiating. Interment fol-lowed in the Big CreekCemetery in Irwin County.

Hank White, Philip Luke,Wallace White, ChrisWilliamson, Ben Lott, MatthewWhite, Jeff Helms, DawendallWhite and DeWayne Whiteserved as pallbearers.

Music was provided by pi-anist Mary Alice Land, soloistRev. Rex Johnson and a duetcomprised of Rev. Johnson andPam Johnson.

Mrs. Evans was born August12, 1926 in Wilcox County to thelate Walter James Adams andMary Jane Whittle Adams. Shewas a loving wife, mother and

grandmother. She lived in the community

most of her life and when herhusband, Pee Wee White becamedisabled, she took over opera-tions of the family farm.

Mrs. Evans was a former em-ployee of H.R. Kaminsky andSons and was an assistant man-ager for The Addition Clothingstore. She was a member of theOrder of the Eastern Star Osce-ola Chapter #431 and also amember of Arp Baptist Church.

Survivors include her hus-band: Kirk Evans of IrwinCounty; daughter and son-in-law: Elaine & George McCraneyof Irwin County; son and daugh-ter-in-law: Derrell & SherryWhite of Heard County; daugh-ters-in-law: Patricia White ofTroup County and Ann WhiteLewis of Irwin County; brother:Nathaniel & Rachel Adams ofWilcox County; sister: Annette& Melvin Mashburn of TurnerCounty; 10 grandchildren; 39great-grandchildren and fivegreat-great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents shewas preceded in death by her firsthusband: Henry Wallace “PeeWee” White; sons: W.L. White& Randolph “Randy” White;grandchildren: DaLinda AnnWhite, Steve White and Demar-ris Lott; sisters: Ernestine “Teen”Bowen and Rea McDuffie; andbrothers: Rev. W. HewletteAdams, Cecil Adams and Har-mon Adams.

The Paulk Funeral Home wasin charge of arrangements.

Lamar A. BradleyLamar A. Bradley, 83, of

Fitzgerald, died Sunday, October21, 2012 at the Life Care Centerin Fitzgerald.

Funeral services were held at11 a.m., Tuesday, October 23 atthe Paulk Funeral Home Chapel,Fitzgerald, with the Rev. SonnyPate, the Rev. Jerry Wilson andthe Rev. Rex Johnson officiating.Interment followed in the Ever-green Cemetery.

Stanley Tucker, HermanMcIntyre, Thomas Stripling,

Fred McIntyre, John Morehead,Joe Braziel and Tommy Brazielserved as pallbearers.

Music was provided by pi-anist Tullye Ralph and a triocomprised of Stacy Wells, EmilyBurch and Johnny Burch.

Mr. Bradley was born Sep-tember 22, 1929 in MaconCounty, North Carolina to thelate Grady & Callie CabeBradley. He was a 1950 graduateof Franklin High School inFranklin, NC and a Korean vet-eran of the United States Army.

A former plant supervisor forBurlington Mills in Franklin, Mr.Bradley moved to Irwinville in1969 where he was a retiredfarmer and a former employee ofPinkerton Security. He was a for-mer member of Irwinville Bap-tist Church where he served as asong leader and Sunday schoolteacher and was a deacon.

Mr. Bradley was currently amember of First Baptist Church,Fitzgerald.

He is survived by his wife:Glee Burch Bradley of Fitzger-

ald; two sons: Jeffery Bradley &April Kelly of Moultrie and Bart& Gail Bradley of Irwinville;stepson: Stacy Wells of Screven;grandchildren: Jason Bradley,Bethany Bradley, Blaize Bradley,Chloe Wells and Bailey Wells;and a great-grandson: HayesBradley.

In addition to his parents, hewas preceded in death by onebrother and one sister.

Bessie P. HarperBessie Paulk Harper, 94, of

Irwin County, died Monday, Oc-tober 22 at Osceola Health Carein Ocilla.

Funeral services were incom-plete at press time.

Ocilla District representa-tive of the Willacoochee Mis-sionary Baptist Association,Veronica Cockfield wascrowned Miss WillacoocheeQueen Saturday, October 13.

The ceremony was held atthe Bryant Theological Semi-nary in Fitzgerald during theWillacoochee Missionary Bap-tist Association ScholarshipBanquet.

Veronica is the daughter ofJohn and Idaisy Cockfield ofIrwin County. She attendsIrwin County High Schoolwhere she is in the tenth gradeand serves as a member of thebasketball cheering squad.

A member of Midway Mis-sionary Baptist Church, Veron-ica enjoys singing in thechurch choir and serving as a

youth usher.Runners-up for the Miss

Willacoochee were CierraWilliams of Fitzgerald, third;Jasmine Lott of Douglas, sec-ond; and Nashon Stephens ofAmbrose was named first run-ner-up.

Crowned as Mr. Willa-coochee King was Kendall Ed-wards of Ocilla. Secondrunner-up was Mr. Johnson ofAmbrose and first runner-upwas Jalen Clements of Dou-glas.

Guest speaker for the schol-arship banquet was the Rev.James Curtis of Pleasant GroveFirst Baptist Church, Ocilla.

Jonathan Fuller served asmaster of ceremony.

presenting the Hell House proj-ect during the fall season.Demon-guided tours of HellHouse begin at 7 p.m. on the fol-lowing remaining dates for thelive drama: Friday and Saturday,October 26 and 27 and Fridayand Saturday, November 2 and 3.

Admission is $5 in advance;$6 at the door and $4 each forgroups of 10 or more.
