Dear Adults At WVCC! Dear Adults at WVCC,

We are beginning a new topic for the Wed. Night Adult Life Groups from 7 to 8 pm on June 8 for a 10 week lesson series until Aug. 24.

I believe it may be the best & the most popular lesson series that we have ever done! It was written by Bill Hybels who is the Sr. Pastor of the Willow Creek Community Church near Chicago. The Title is "Simplify- 10 Practices To Unclutter Your Soul".

Here are the 10 chapters: 1) From Exhausted to En-ergized 2) From Overscheduled to Organized 3) From Over-whelmed to In Control 4) From Restless to Fulfilled 5) From Wounded to Whole 6) From Anxious to Peaceful 7) From Isolated to Connected 8) From Drifting to Focused 9) From Stuck to Moving On 10) From Meaningless to Satisfied.

The cost of the Book is $10 per person. Some cou-ples may choose to only buy one. However, I would recom-mend that each person buys their own book. You may buy them beginning this Sunday- May 22 at the Welcome Cen-ter.

It will be very important that each person reads the book & marks the things that speak to you. It will take about 1 & one half hours to read each chapter.

Here are some things the book addresses: exhaust-ed, overwhelmed, overscheduled, anxious, isolated, and dis-satisfied. Simplified living requires more than just organizing

your closets or cleaning out your desk drawer. It requires uncluttering your soul. There are no shortcuts to simplified living, untangling yourself from the web of your current life. It is not for the faint of heart. It takes honest, rigorous work. Action is required! Each chapter of this book con-cludes with Action Steps.

Simplifying your life will produce immediate rewards! Change is possible!

What things leave you depleted, empty, with nothing to give? You know you are there when you feel resentment & irritation toward others regularly.

What things fill your bucket? They energize, replenish, inspire, & elevate you? Here are 5 things to help fill your bucket: 1) Connecting with God- being right with God, tuned in to Him, & walking close with Him. 2) Spending time with your family & your church family. 3) Satisfying work- If your job drains you again & again, perhaps you are not in the right work. Loving your job will be a bucket-filler & not a bucket-drainer. 4) Recreation- It means to re-create energy & vitality in your inner person. 5) Exercise- What adds energy & vitality to your life? Most experts agree- exercise & proper sleep can give you a 20% energy increase per day.

I want you to buy this book and come join a Life Group unless you are already in one and be ready to have your life energized and your bucket filled! Remember, we have classes for all ages: nursery, preschool, elementary, teens, & adults. Over 200 people usually come each week! We want to make sure that you get to come too!

God bless you, Pastor Glenn Kirby
